... holds a Bachelors degree in social work and social administration from Makerere University. Additionally she acquired a certificate in German level A1 and a certificate in Peer education. She joined Education Matters in February 2016 as a social worker. She is very passionate about working with young children and adolescents inside and outside Education Matters, she loves the work she does as she is able to build a level of openness, friendship and confidence within the lives of the children, building connections and helping them achieve their goals, especially through helping them get access to basic education. Her goal is to, "Continue empowering children and encouraging them to practice and perform their skills, once they gain those skills, no one will ever take them away from them and they will be able to earn a living and live a better life"

Niclas

… as a new father he loves long strolls through the city forest Eilenriede in Hannover. At home at the office desk he deals with finances and is 2nd chairman.

Ole

... is up for anything that has to do with design, including here in the club. Otherwise, he likes to spend his free time on the water - as long as there is always a hand's breadth of water under his keel.

Nele

... has been actively involved in the association since its foundation in 2012 and is responsible for the annual exchange project between Uganda and Tanzania. She is committed to a world in which children and young people are individually supported to develop their full potential - for a self-determined future.

Mark

... is chairman of education matters e.V. and mainly responsible for the sponsorship programme. Professionally, he is doing his doctorate at the Computational Social Science Chair at ETH Zurich. He is convinced that only unconstrained learning makes children free human beings.

Julian

... is responsible for our social media presence and, of course, he also looks after the sponsorships assigned to him. His main job is at a regional bank in Hanover and for the lifestyle brand PiNAO Sports. He would like to give children a chance through education - to change the world for the better.

Thomas

... has been an active member of the association since its foundation. He is currently studying for a master's degree in computer science at Leibniz University in Hanover. At the end of 2015, he was able to bring the knowledge from his computer science studies to the association by automating the time-consuming creation of donation receipts with a programme he wrote himself. Since then, he has taken over this task annually, saving the treasurer the effort.

Felix

... loves to explore mountains outside or to look after the IT of the association inside behind darkened windows. From the website to databases for sponsored children to server support.
